The crew of the USS Corona
Showing off the ship's logo on the 25th anniversary Next Generation mosaic poster are (L-R) Capt. Andy Mihail (commanding officer), Ens. Darlene Belisle (Quartermaster), Lt. "Chief" Renaud (Chief Engineer), Cadet Lt. Sam Mihail (lead cadet/xenobiology), Lt. J.G.. Alexandra Preston (Ops), Ens. Kymm Mooney (ship historian).
New Ship shots!!
We've received some new angles of the Corona!! Our awesome artist, Adam Kopp, has rendered some new angles for us, including a special one we'll be using in our new logo! We'll still use the one with the ship's name, but this one will be more true to the idea of having just an image identifying who we are. Look for it coming soon! In the meantime, check out what I did with a little bit of a Google search, GIMP and one of the new angles! Not too shabby! Definantly desktop background material! Look for the other angles in the "ship specs" section.

A long running gag on the USS Corona is that when someone goofs up, does something more weird than usual or says something humorously offensive, they're always assigned to scrub the external exhaust ports on the aft of the ship. It's their unofficial duty until someone else earns the honor!
Well, after years of reassigning crewmembers, I decided to come up with an official award to hand out to the latest "scrubber". After some brainstorming with Chief Engineer Brianna "Chief" Renaud and raiding my spare model parts box, we came up with the ODEXS Award- the Officially Designated EXhaust port Scrubber Award! Lavishly adorned with a granite base, an old toothbrush, some kind of plastic bit & a Walmart dog tag, the Captain is honored to present the ODEXS to it's first official reciepiant- Ensign 1 Darlene Belisle! And just what did she do to deserve the award? She graced the Captain with a vintage DS9 birthday card, attaching the note, "A vintage card for a vintage captain". -_- Yep.... thanks, Dar.
On the plus side, Darlene gets to choose who the next Honoree will be!!

Yep, it figures. The two biggest troublemakers get it first! The next reciepiant of the ODEXS Award is Kymm Mooney. Back on June 20th, something deviant & horrible was done and Darlene passed it onto her. Starfleet forbids the release of the information of the act, but it is safe to say that Kymm is currently scrubbing more aft exhaust ports than writing historical documents.

"Captain, I saved the bridge!" 4/4/13
Well, with all the crazy of having a new job I totally forgot to post this. I'm sure most of you have heard of the efforts to restore the Las Vegas Trek Experience Enterprise-D bridge. When they first started up their kickstarter campaign they were offering shirts and isoleniar chips for a donation. Well, I had to jump on it!! But instead of my own name I entered the Corona's!! So the Corona's name will always in some small part be attached to the ongoing efforts to keeping the dream alive!
I hear the isoleniar chips will be shipping out within the next two weeks or so. You can be sure I'll be posting a few pictures when it arrives!

A life long model builder, Captain Mihail shows off his newest aquisition, a three
foot model kit of the TOS Enterprise. And yes, the saucer's diameter is the
size of the box! It may take awhile to build it up right, but look for it at upcoming Corona events!
